Historical fiction is an exploration into another time, place, and culture, whether we are navigating distant countries or the neighborhoods behind our backyard.

I am grateful for the serendipitous opportunities to research the First and Second World Wars by visiting battlefields in France and interviewing witnesses who endured some of the most harrowing moments of those times.

In my historical fiction pieces I transport the reader back into the worlds as I've experienced them in historical documents, photographs, memoirs, and interviews, and paint vivid reconstructions of  life was in those bygone eras. History teaches us not only about the past, but who we are now, and who we may choose to be, depending on the choices and paths we follow.  ​
